This means that the quality control is done in such a way that every one is involved. This method got rid of the piece rate. Advantages / Disadvantages In this method of quality control is the reasonability of just one person. Also in this method as people are paid for what they make,

S.W.O.T. Analysis of Boeing Corp. Essay -- SWOT Analysis
The objective of this paper is to analyze and discuss some of the Boeing Company's business decisions using their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, also known as an S.W.O.T. analysis which is defined as, "a planning tool used to analyze an organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. (Nickels, McHugh, McHugh, page 216)". This is a very powerful tool usable by any business that is just starting out, going through a change in direction, or in the process of a major merger. The SWOT analysis consists of a few simple steps which can provide valuable insight for direction and decision making. This paper will use The Boeing Company as an example of SWOT analysis application. The Boeing Company originally started out as the Pacific Aero Products Co., which was founded on July 15, 1916. The name was changed about a year later to The Boeing Airplane Company. The Boeing Company stayed relatively small until World War I when they were selected by Navy officials to produce an order for 50 model C's planes for the war efforts. The company continued to prosper and by the late 1950s, Boeing President William Allen knew that the company had the scientists, the experience and the facilities to lead the company into uncharted territories. He was right, Boeing has emerged as the leading aerospace company in the world today. The SWOT process will start by examining the internal strengths of the Boeing Company of today. One of the most dominant strengths possessed by Boeing is its ability to follow the changes in a market that is continually changing. The type of products produced by The Boeing Company demands the use of state of the art technology while maintaining all the proper safe guards for sa... ...It is important to continually perform SWOT analysis and to stay nimble. Overall the Boeing Company has stayed strong in the aircraft field and with record profits for the past two years it looks like they are achieving their goals. Boeing has had to change their business direction over the past 100 years in order to stay a top of the aircraft industry. To maintain a good successful business they must have used a system similar to this SWOT analysis to see where Boeing needed to be to capitalize the market. Before Boeing decided that outsourcing was the way to go, a group of Boeing peers got around a table and weighed out the pros and cons. In their business analysis they saw a way to change one of their weaknesses, in-house work overload, into a potential strength. Major business decisions like this are much easier to commit too, with the use of a SWOT analysis.

Analysis of graduation Essay
During the mid nineteen hundreds, racial segregation was prevalent in the United States, especially in the South. In the essay, ââ¬Å"Graduationâ⬠Maya Angelou tells about her experience of graduating from the eighth grade in Stamps, Arkansas. In todayââ¬â¢s society, a graduating ceremony is exciting for all, however, it is not uncommon. Often, people take these type of experiences for granted. This was not the case for Angelou. To her, having a graduating ceremony in her hometown was considered a privilege. The writer structures the essay to evoke feelings from her readers and to get her point across. Angelou uses literary elements to convey the overall point of the essay, starting with the title. ââ¬Å"Graduationâ⬠references the commencement ceremony that takes place during the essay. It implies a pronouncement of the writer moving on and growing up. Structure helps convey the main reason the writer wrote this essay. The essay is structured in a way that the reader can feel empathy for the writer and understand what she and her community were dealing with during the nineteen forties. Also, Angelou structures her essay to show how the experience, both the good and the bad, helped her to understand herself. Tone plays an important role in conveying the overall point of Angelouââ¬â¢s essay. There are two major shifts that occur throughout the essay. The essay started off with an excited and happy tone about it. When Angelou writes, ââ¬Å"The children in Stamps trembled visibly with anticipation. Some adults were excited too, but to be certain the whole young population had come down with graduation epidemicâ⬠(15) it exemplifies the happy tone of the essay. Angelou was thrilled to finally be graduating and moving on to all the possibilities life would bring her. However, in the middle of the essay the tone completely shifts in the opposite direction. Once the two white politicians walk on stage, the entire atmosphere of the graduation changes. Angelou expresses that her mood has changed when she says, ââ¬Å"The manââ¬â¢s dead words fell like brinks around the auditorium and too many fell in my bellyâ⬠(21). The racist nature of his remarks were not clear to him but still managed to make Angelou feel little, as if she could never amount toà anything. The writer includes this in her essay to reflect her pain and to show how one man had such a negative effect on everyone attending the ceremony. Fortunately, toward the end of the essay, the tone shifts back to being happy, joyful and somewhat hopeful. When Henry Reed lead the students in the singing of the Negro National Anthem, it brought back a sense of unity to the community. For the first time Angelou truly heard the lyrics and they finally gave meaning to her; she felt optimistic of what could come in her future. Not only does Angelou use literary elements in the essay, she also includes important details to reference to the specific time period. A big part of the message Angelou is trying to convey is the racial segregation that is taking place. In the beginning of the essay, the writer compares the white and black schools to each other. She goes on to define the black school by what it lacks, ââ¬Å"neither lawn, nor hedges, nor tennis courts, nor climbing ivyâ⬠(16). This reveals a clear illustration of what the white schools were given and how unimportant and unattended to the black schools were. Bigger than that, it defines societyââ¬â¢s priorities in the nineteen forties. Another prime example of the lack of importance on the black communities was the name of the school, Layfette County Training School. Black schools were called ââ¬Å"training schoolsâ⬠because it was believed blacks didnââ¬â¢t need a real education. Black schools did not focused on further education, mainly because they werenââ¬â¢t given equal opportunities to do so. When Donleavy is referring to the graduates as future athletes and nothing else, itââ¬â¢s an insult to them because heââ¬â¢s implying that they can never amount to anything greater than that. Angelou includes these details in the essay to show the type of attitude white people had toward the black community. The overall reason for Angelou to write a piece that holds as much meaning as ââ¬Å"Graduationâ⬠was to share her experiences with the world. She wanted to make readers aware of the reality of racism. She allows the reader to understand, and for some maybe even relate. A deeper message Angelou wanted to convey with the reader is that no one person, no matter the color of their skin, should be able to put a person down. A day that was supposed to be one of the happiest in her life was made ugly by the racist remarks of a white man. Seeing Angelou overcome that with the help of her classmate Henry was a powerful thing. Using specific structure, tone shifts and important references to the time period the writer was ableà to write an essay that was both thought-provoking and emotional. Angelou not only wrote for the entertainment of her readers, she wanted to teach readers the reality of racism. But beyond that, she showed them how one manââ¬â¢s words or actions were not going to keep her down. Angelou wrote about something that wasnââ¬â¢t talked about often, black graduations, and with the writing techniques she used turned it into a famous book.

Statistical Process Control
Standard Operating Procedure for inline Q. A, using Statistical Process Control charts OBJECTIVE To remove or minimize, cost of poor quality. SCOPE This procedure is applicable for all kind of critical points for which variable charts are being made to know about the process stability. RESPONSIBILITY 1) Q. A. Manager Q. A. Manager is responsible for allotting the critical points in a particular product to in line Q. A. ââ¬â¢s. 2) A. Q. M. A. Q. M. is responsible for carrying out the SPC effectively in their given lines. He is also responsible to assist the in line QAââ¬â¢s in case of any difficulty. 3) In Line Q. A. ââ¬â¢s In line Q. A. ââ¬â¢s are responsible to fill the variable chart correctly and take appropriate actions required after depicting the charts. PROCEDURE ? One Variable chart is to be prepared against each critical point. ? Take 5 samples at random produced in a particular hour and start measuring critical points on each sample. ? Write down the measurement difference as per the size-measurement specification given on variable chart in the period of that hour. After the five pieces are inspected, find out the median and range of these five readings by the following method. o Arrange the data in ascending order and write down the third no. in the median array for that particular hour. o To calculate range note down the difference between the maximum reading and minimum reading of that particular hour. Write it down in the range array. ? Calculate Upper Control Limit and Lower Control Limit by using the following formula: o Calculate X Bar for previous days 8 hours reading by following formulaX1+X2+X3+X4+X5+X6+X7+X8 X = 8 Where X1 â⬠¦.. X8 are the median readings for previous day 8 hour. o Calculate R for previous days 8 hours reading by following formula R1+R2+R3+R4+R5+R6+R7+R8 R= 8 Where R1 â⬠¦.. R8 are the range readings for previous day 8 hour. o UCL and LCL for median chart will be calculated by the given formula: __ UCL = X +0. 691* R LCL = X-0. 691 * R o UCL and LCL for Range chart will be calculated by the given formula: UCL = 2. 14 * R LCL = 0 * R ? Now once limits of median chart as well as range chart are calculated start marking the points of median and range on the median and range graph respectively that to corresponding to that particular hour. ? If any point is found to lie outside the control limits, immediate action should be taken to bring the process in control. ? One point should be kept in mind that process should lie somewhere near central line. It means your process is stable and predictable.

Characters Representing Major Ideas and Themes
A Raisin In the Sun by Lorraine Handovers, the Younger family Is faced with many big issues and themes that affect African Americans in the 1 ass's. These overlying themes appear in the form of individuals In the play, even for those characters that play only minor roles. George Morison, Wily Harris, and Mr.. Liners each represent different obstacles that the Youngster's must overcome in order to follow their dreams and trust what is in their hearts. This is Handlebars way of telling her readers to not be afraid to follow their dreams, even If there are obstacles In your path, because If they don't then they will be worse off than ever before. George Morison is the living example of assimilation culture and it's destructive tendencies toward your native culture and heritage. He dresses like whites, acts like whites, and puts more value on money than on thoughts and culture. Beneath witnesses this transformation occurring in her brother, and it angers her.She feels pressured by society to assimilate. George has merged with the American White Majority Ideals and has no difficulty in doing so, which deeply rubles Beneath, who believes that if you lose your heritage, you in turn lose yourself. George gets incredibly aggravated whenever Beneath mentions how she feels on the topic of Assimilation, and finally George can't listen any longer to her and snaps, ââ¬Å"Let's face it, baby, your heritage is nothing but a bunch of raggedy- eased spirituals and some grass huts! (Handovers, 81) Beneath is trying to find herself by rediscovering her culture, while George Is separating himself from his as much as possible. This huge difference between the two Is the mall reason behind Beneath slice of him and love of Sagas, who fully embraces his culture. He helps her overcome modern society's expectations and dance to her own drumbeat, therefore giving her a way to find herself. The pressure to assimilate into society and become ââ¬Å"acceptableâ⬠to others is shown in Be neath, but has already won over George.Even though Wily Harris never even steps onto the stage, his dark presence hangs over the family, as he took the $6,500 that was left of Big Walter's money. He did the taking, and left the Younger ââ¬Å"tokenâ⬠, representing people who exploit others who are desperate and helpless. Wily and others like him take advantage of people like the Younger who have no experience or way of getting help if they fall into a bad situation, but will trust someone to help them out because they are desperate enough to try to achieve their dreams anyway. In stealing the money, Wily Harris destroys Walter's last hope for a good future.Walter explains after he hears the bad news of the stolen money how he thinks the world works and what he has concluded from the experience: ââ¬Å"Life is just like it is. Who gets and who don't getâ⬠¦ Mama, you know it's all divided upâ⬠¦ Between the takers and the ââ¬Å"tokenâ⬠â⬠¦ Mom of us always getting tokenâ⬠¦. I'll say one thing for old Wily Harris. He's taught me something. He's taught me to keep my eye on what counts in this world. Yeah- Thanks, Wily! â⬠(Handovers, 141) By this point, Walter has realized that his dream Is not going to happen, and Wily has left him devastated. But amidst all these distraught what really counts, not money, not social status, but love, his family, his wife, and his son. The kind of love that made big Walter work to death for his family. This realization pulls him together, and finally becomes a man and gives Mama and Ruth their dream of owning a house. It seems that people like Wily Harris gravitate to people in poor circumstances with big dreams and little experience. Walter overcomes this disastrous event, but the memory that he could have done better in business and made something of himself will probably haunt him forever.Mr.. Liners is Just one man, but he represents thousands of people, the white majority, and their intense prejud ice against blacks and other minorities. Prejudice and racism was still everywhere in the sass's, even though slavery was gone. The views that people like Mr.. Liners harbor are keeping the Younger and other minority groups oppressed and unable to rise up to their full potential. Liners expresses his frustration with the Younger after Walter refuses his offer for the first time, ââ¬Å"What do you are going to gain by moving into a neighborhood where you Just aren't wantedâ⬠¦ People can get awful worked up when they feel that their whole way of life and everything they've ever worked for is threatened. ââ¬Å"(Handovers, 199) Liners says the one thing that the white majority has been thinking. He tells the Younger very simply that they are not wanted. This kind of hostility has nothing to do with any f these peoples personalities, Jobs, or morals, it is solely because they are not white and therefore are deemed not good enough to be with whites. The family overcomes this prejudic e by asking Mr.. Liners back. Walter tells him that they will move into the house, and they will be good neighbors, therefore giving the Whites the first punch if they want to take it, as he will do nothing to them, because he states that the family has a right to live there Just as much as anyone else. Prejudice affected the Younger through the voice of one man, but through the minds of many. But they anally overcome their fear of it and move into the house at Closure Park.Throughout this play, Handovers is constantly using symbolism, and not only does she do it through objects, but through people as well. She shows us how all of these complicated issues are gathered together in one tiny apartment and how this can destroy dreams Just by stepping into the room that is the sass's. By using characters like George, Wily, and Mr.. Liners, we get a real sense of what people are willing to do to achieve their goals, be accepted, and keep things how they have always been. The Younger overc ome each of these with their love and their dreams.

The brand has become the critical source of competitive advantage for Essay
The brand has become the critical source of competitive advantage for many hospitality organisations. Critically evaluate the importance of Human Resource Stra - Essay Example However, to create time for hospitality management to focus on the customer experience, means executives must free themselves from running the less-value added parts of the core business. This is often becoming difficult to achieve because of the volume of issues hospitality companies deal with today: The total guest experience is often more than a particular lodging or food service organization. For instance, customers may want to find other points of interest near their current lodging or dining location. By definition, a brand is a promise made by a company to its customers. This promise is a bundle of goods that includes the product, its related services and intangible elements such image. Essentially, the brand promise reassures the customers in the purchasing process: they know what it is they are buying and they know what they will get. In the hotel business, this notion is very important. When traveling, a customer will seek to eliminate as many unknowns from the process as possible. In planning the trip, the choice of the hotel becomes a key decision. Knowing beforehand where you are going and what you will be experiencing once you are there, substantially reduces stress. Therefore, a well recognized and defined brand stands to gain a substantial share of the traveler market compared to a local, unknown brand. Furthermore, the known brand can sustain a competitive advantage having attracted the traveler the first time around. If the brand met the customers expectation, there is little incentive to change the next time. So the notion of the hotel brand plays an important role in attracting customers and retaining loyalty. Branding begins with principles. And the brand experience is shaped by every action of every associate. Take the lead and help determine the guiding values that inform and shape every decision which impacts those associate actions.( Rick Hendrie, 2005) Though the hospitality industry maintains the brand,
